The fashion trends and colors to wear for Spring 2022 & where to get them
Spring trends for womens fashion 2022 have already had me shopping the Black Friday sales to stock up ahead of time. I always like to be a season or 2 ahead so that I can share everything with you here. The Spring runway shows for 2022 were throwing it back to the 90’s a lot but in a very wearable way. From sexy bodycon dresses and minis to playful fringing and comfort forward styles there’s a Spring fashion trend for everyone. These are my favorite looks from the runway for Spring 2022, including the Spring Summer 2022 fashion color trends, how to copy them and the biggest trends for Spring to inspire your shopping decisions.
There were so many different looks on the Spring runways that it was hard to narrow it down. These are the ones that popped up the most and are the most wearable IRL. Loungewear is still around but with more of a collegiate feel, skirts range from mini to maxi, and layering makes the prettiest crop tops and bralettes less daunting. Get your stain remover stick handy as white and black and white is a big color trend for Spring Summer 2022, along with the prettiest Saffron shade.

1. Shrugs
我blogged about the Fall Winter 2021/22 shrug trend and it looks like it’s here to stay for Spring Summer 2022 if the runway shows are any indication of what the street style stars will pick up on. Ditch your oversized cardis this season and grab a more flattering, fitted cropped card orshrug. This is a great layering piece to wear with crop tops which is another trend for Spring 2022.
2. Go Short For Spring 2022 | Mini Skirts & dresses
Spring 2022 is the season for Honey I Shrunk Your Wardrobe. From crop tops to mini skirts and cardigans, everything’s a lot smaller. I’m thankful minis and maxis are in as midi’s do nothing for me, I’m too short. Mini’s aren’t all about being sexy for Spring but instead are ladylike and the coord set continues. Style your mini skirt with a matching tops and blazer for a lady-like polished, coordinated look. Knee high boots keep the look fresh rather than looking like you’re heading to the office.
3. Fun Prints | Geometric, Gingham & Leopard print
夏天的打印,60的打印,豹和条纹re all over the Spring Summer 2022 runway shows making me crave the warmer weather again already. I’m not a cold weather girl. Roberto Cavalli in particular was very leopard and tiger print heavy.
4. Crop tops and bralettes
另一件衣服的月inking treatment for Spring 2022 is tops. This Spring it’s all about bras, crop tops and camisoles. Whether they’re collegiate or full on Versace 80’s glams. This works well with the layering trend. Style yours with under blazers, suits, and fuller bottoms to recreate these wearable and comfortable runway looks. 5. Spring Trends 2022 | Goddess Inspired Draping
Spring always seems like a romantic season to me which is why I love seeing romantic styles on the Spring Summer runways. The draped tops and dresses for Spring 2022 are so easy to wear IRL as the draping is so flattering. Think Greek Goddess styles and light materials. This is another Spring trend for 2022 that works well with the white trend. If you’re worried you’ll look to much like you’re headed to a Toga party, try a dress or top in a more colorful option. 6. Catsuits
我’ve always loved catsuits AKA jumpsuits or playsuits as they save the issue of coordinating tops and bottoms. Plus they’re super comfy, even if a little impractical when it comes to the bathroom. Catsuits for Spring 2022 are all about comfort, beautiful movement and highlighting your favorite body parts whether that’s a simple black catsuit, summerly floral print or sparkly one that’s made for Vegas and partying.

7. Fringing

8. Suits Made for Spring
我’ve been eyeing up skirt suits since being inspired by the white Gucci skirt suit LAdy Gaga was wearing in House of Gucci. These suits aren’t made for the office though. The way to style suits IRL for Spring 2022 that’s fashion forward is open and with a crop top or bralette underneath. Layer a shirt over your bralette and under your blazer for the office and then take your shirt off and leave your blazer open and bralette on display to take you from the office to after work drinks.

9. Polished Spring Trend | Smart Shorts
我’m a total shorts girl. Living in Vegas, needing something wind proof comes with the territory and I find them more comfortable than skirts. For Spring 2022, leave the denim on hold as it’s all about the tailored shorts for a polished look. Pair with your crop tops, bralettes and blazers for a fashion forward look as seen at Hermès Fendi, Brandon Maxwell, Max Mara and Tom Ford.
10. Preppy Spring Trend | Collegiate Wear
Loungewear is still in fashion but think more varsity style and cropped than uber casual. This seasons relaxed wear is all about the cable knit sweaters, rugby polos, crop knit vests, pleated mini skirts, stirrup leggings and pants, logo waistbands and everything preppy.
11. 90’S Comeback
Bodycon dresses, belly chains, crimped hair, statement shoulders, bare midriffs and low rise pants. You could be forgiven for thinking you were watching a fashion show from the 1990’s. Chanel, Balmain, Blumarine, Coperni, Rick Owens and Loewe had the best iterations of this trend in their SS2022 runway shows.
12. Dress to the Max | Maxis
On the opposite end of the scale from mini skirts and shorts are maxi skirts and dresses. The maxis for Spring 2022 aren’t your boho styles but a sleeker more fitted silhouette. So grab a column skirt or maxi dress for a minimalistic look on cooler Spring days. As seen at Peter Do Saint Laurent, Chloé and Khaite.

Spring Trends 2022 | Fashion Color Trends
The Spring color palette on the runway shows were extensive. But Saffron, white, black and white (Balmain), pinks from bold to pastel and lilac (Versace, Chanel & Moschino) and rich golds were seen the most. Which is why they’re my Spring Summer 2022 fashion color trend predictions.
Saffron
One of the most popular colors for Spring 2022 is Saffron red. In the form of clothing, shoes and accessories. I love this bright rich shade and it’s easy to wear with white which is another color trend for SS2022. As seen at Proenza Schouler, LaQuan Smith, Balmain and Kwaidan Editions.
White
White is my favorite shade to wear after pink. I’m a believer that whites a shade to wear all seasons not just after Labor Day. It’s so fresh and always looks crisp and polished. White for Spring 2022 even in Winter comes in the form of floaty white maxi dresses and gowns, coordinated separates, and structured white skirt suits (think Lady Gaga’s white skirt suit inHouse of Gucci). There’s really no wrong way to wear white this Spring. As seen at Fendi, Jil Sander, Erdem, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Altuzarra, Simone Rocha. Basically everywhere!
Geometric Black and White
黑色和白色永远是经典,就在you thought polka dots were done the designers brought them back. Black and white stripes and polka dots were seen on dresses, tops, skirts and blazers so wear them wherever you want them. The more 80’s the better. Think the polka dot dress Gaga was wearing in House of Gucci with the statement puff shoulders. Movies tend to shape our fashion trends as much as the runways so don’t be surprised if a lot of 80’s inspired looks are trending for Spring 2022.

What 2022 Spring trends are you most look forward to?
The trends I’m most looking forward to wearing are layering pretty bralettes under blazers with a heavy self tan application on my stomach. Grecian draping, bright whites and tailored shorts for a more structured and elegant look.
